Wouldn’t it be nice if all wars could be as nice as the one that begins honoring Broadway tonight? Broadway at War! is a revue show playing in Florida that includes only the most popular past Broadway shows, allowing audiences to clap and cheer along, and truly get swept up in their magic all over again.
True to its name, Broadway at War! will include songs from past Broadway shows that have focused around war and conflict. Shows that are said to have songs included are South Pacific, Hair, Les Miserables, Cabaret, Miss Saigon, and The Scarlet Pimpernel, along with many others as well. The two-hour long show includes a cast of more than 20 talented singers and dancers; and will be directed by Joshua Bramkamp, with Angelyn Rhode taking over the choreography.
The show has different dates and viewing times over its five-day stint at The Princess Theater in Downtown Sanford, Florida. It opens tonight, March 16, at 8:00 pm and will run at the theater throughout the weekend until March 18, on which date it will have a 3:00 pm showing time for the Sunday matinee. It will also be playing at the theater next weekend, March 23 – 25, with show times again beginning at 8:00 pm, except for the Sunday matinee which will again show at 3:00 pm.
