Get Ready 80s Fans: Debbie Gibson and Tiffany are on Tour Together!

Get ready to don those legwarmers and pull out all those ripped, neon shirts from your closet – Debbie Gibson and Tiffany are currently on tour together! The two are currently traveling throughout the United States, beginning in New Hampshire on July and lasting until August 13 where they’ll perform their last show in Chicago, Illinois.

During the 80s when both artists were at the top of their game, it was widely rumored that the two were tough competitors who couldn’t stand each other. Over the years, they’ve shown that’s never been true, and that they have been long-time admirers of each other’s work. This tour, says Gibson is “unashamedly about the 80s!” So get your hair as high as possible and get your tickets to this flash from the past now!

Kings of Leon New Release

The Kings of Leon have gained momentum in the US – both with fan base and airplay.  While wildly successful in the UK for several years, the quartet has only recently enjoyed mainstream success in the United States, with their “Only By The Night” release and subsequent tour – which is currently in the UK.

With opening acts such as The Black Keys, Built to Spill and the Features, the band has gone from an underground alternative “buzz” to a full-scale headliner. However, with the Kings of Leon having a slated October release of “Come Around Sundown”, and the first single “Radioactive” already receiving airplay, there is a divide.  Old-school fans of the Kings of Leon feel the band has deviated from it’s gritty, unique sound, in favor of become more mainstream and “marketable”.  The newer fan base – and critics alike – feel the band is maturing.  What are your thoughts?  A look at the old, and a look at the new:

There is no doubt that the Kings of Leon will return to the US in the spring/summer of 2011 in support of the new release.  The question is, however, will the concert goers be new, old or a mix of the two.  Stay tuned to TicketSeating for the latest updates on an upcoming Kings of Leon tour.

Tom Petty Tour Will Be In Full Swing This Summer

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers have long been a favorite and it is great to see them out with so many dates for their summer tour. While this schedule pales in comparison to their touring schedule in their younger years, it is still an impressive list of dates. They kick off in May and go right through the next four months performing three or four shows a week, depending on how close the venues are to each other.

Anyone that has ever been to a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers show already knows how incredible they can be, and this tour should be no different. In addition to the array of hits that the band has put out, fans will be treated to some incredible guest appearances along the way. Some of the names have already been released and include: Joe Cocker, Crosby, Stills and Nash and ZZ Top.
