Who Will Perform at the CMAs?

The CMAs are set to be held on November 1 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville and the first few details of the event are just starting to be released. For the fifth time, Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley are set to take the stage as hosts for the event; and seeing as how they’re both up for an award, we might see some performances from them this year, too. So what else can we expect?

The evening will be a big one for Kelly Clarkson. Clarkson, who started out her career more pop than country, has been getting deeper into this genre recently, and she’s being rewarded for it. Not only will she be performing at the event, but this marks the first time she’s ever been nominated for an individual CMA. Last year she was nominated, and won, for her duet with Jason Aldean, “Don’t You Wanna Stay.” The award won was for “Musical Event of the Year.”

This year Aldean is nominated for “Entertainer of the Year,” and his name was also included in the first round of performers for this year’s show. Along with Aldean, Bentley will also be performing. Since his song “Home” is up for single and song of the year, there’s a good chance this is what fans can expect to hear.

Little Big Town, who’s nominated for “Single of the Year” and “Music Video of the Year,” will also be there to perform. The group is also nominated for “Vocal Group of the Year.”

That’s all the CMAs are willing to release now, but they do promise via their website that “more awesomeness to be announced soon.” If you want to be there to catch all that awesomeness yourself, get your tickets for the show. They go on sale today!
