Tom Petty Tour Will Be In Full Swing This Summer

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers have long been a favorite and it is great to see them out with so many dates for their summer tour. While this schedule pales in comparison to their touring schedule in their younger years, it is still an impressive list of dates. They kick off in May and go right through the next four months performing three or four shows a week, depending on how close the venues are to each other.

Anyone that has ever been to a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers show already knows how incredible they can be, and this tour should be no different. In addition to the array of hits that the band has put out, fans will be treated to some incredible guest appearances along the way. Some of the names have already been released and include: Joe Cocker, Crosby, Stills and Nash and ZZ Top.

The tour is to promote “Mojo,” the bands first effort in a studio is about eight years. Fans have been hungry for something new to come out and when this record hits the shelves later this spring, they will finally get what they are asking for. Based off the 2008 tour, tickets are going to go fast as they sold out every stop two years ago.

The tour is going to kick off in NC before making a quick swing out west. They are going to work their way back across the United States until they finish off the tour at Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga, NY on August 27th. Horse racing fans will love this as they can combine the summer session at Saratoga with the concert and make it a well-rounded trip. Both the horseracing and concert will offer entertainment that is second to none. has great Tom Petty tickets – don’t miss his performances!
