Relive the 1990s with the Smashing Pumpkins on Tour

It is hard to believe that the 90’s were some 20 years ago!  Some great music came out of that time, and one band that is still rocking hard today are the Chicago natives, The Smashing Pumpkins.  They have just announced a new tour for October.  It will begin October 2nd and run until November 4th with 14 stops along the way.  Will they be stopping in a city near you?

The band includes the ever charismatic lead singer and main song writer Billy Corgan, Jeff Schroeder on guitar, Nicole Fiorentino on background vocals and bass, and Mike Byrne on drums.  The main reason for the current tour is the release of the bands newest album entitled “Oceania” which came out on the 19th of June and hit number 4 on the Billboard 200.

The album got some pretty good reviews from critics and fans alike saying it is a mix of sounds similar to their “Gish” and “Adore” albums.  This is the group’s 8th studio album and is themed after alienation in the electronic age according to the lead singer.  Notable songs include “The Celestials”, “Violet Rays”, “Pinwheels” and of course “Oceania”, though the album as a whole, with its 13 tracks, has been getting praise overall.  They say that this album is part of a larger work called “Teargarden By Kaleidyscope”.

Of course, if you head out to see the Smashing Pumpkins on their newest tour, they are sure to play some of your old favorites too.  Imagine getting to hear “Bullet With Butterfly Wings” “Tonight, Tonight”, “Adore” or your personal favorite live and in concert one more time.  The band is also claiming that they will perform every song from their new album as well.  It is sure to be a night to remember!

Come check out your favorite 90’s band The Smashing Pumpkins with their current era hit album when they come to a city near you.  They will be making stops in New York, Washington, California, Colorado, Missouri, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, Virginia and Connecticut as well as stops in Canada.  Buy your tickets today before the show near you is sold out!
