Miranda Lambert has teased her fans recently with a few tour details, but few they are indeed. What we do know is that fellow country superstar, Dierks Bentley, will be co-headlining with her, and that the tour will begin on January 17, 2013. Even with the scant details, we already know that this is going to be one of the can’t-miss country events in the New Year.
The tour is being called the “Locked and Reloaded Tour,” and it will take Miranda and Dierks around to some of the biggest cities in the United States. Those include Denver, San Diego, Las Vegas, and Phoenix, although no dates for these cities have been announced. Only two dates have been confirmed so far, with one on January 26 in Atlantic City, New Jersey; and the second on July 13 in Boston, Massachusetts. So far over 30 cities have been announced; for a full listing you can find them here.
Lambert will be promoting her fourth studio album, Four the Record, while Bentley will be continuing to promote his seventh studio album, Home. But aside from hits off these two records, along with undoubtedly some older tunes from both artists, what can fans expect?
Miranda Lambert recently released a statement to express her excitement, and give some clues. “Making music for our fans is the best job in the world,” she said. “It’s especially great being able to take that music on the road with someone I respect as an artist and human being. This will be a tour of epic badassery.”
Only tickets for the Boston and Atlantic City dates are currently on sale. But with the tour just months away, you can be sure to expect the artists to firm up the details very soon.
