Bonnaroo is quickly becoming one of the annual festivals that’s a must-attend, and this year’s lineup proves once again just why that is. Paul McCartney, Tom Petty, Bjork, and Mumford & Sons are some of the biggest acts stopping by Manchester, Tennessee for the huge festival being held June 13-16 — and those are just the headliners! Because this year, Bonnaroo brings all it has in years past, and even more.
Supporting acts for the headliners will be The Lumineers, Wilco, R. Kelly, Kendrick Lamar, and Wu-Tang Chan; but there will still be a lot of weekend left to fill. That’s why also taking the various stages throughout various times at the festival will also be musical acts The National Collective, Of Monsters and Men, David Byrne & St. Vincent, Passion Pit, Nas, The xx, Cat Popwer, Gaslight Anthem, and Dwight Yoakam. Of course promoters and organizers still have months to get this thing fully in the works, so more are bound to be added, as well.
In past years Bonnaroo has also put a definitive stamp on their festival by also including comedic acts in with the music mix. This year Daniel Tosh from the TV show “Tosh.0” will be there as well as Mike Birbiglia and of course, even more stand-up comedy acts that will be announced soon.
“Top to bottom, this is one of the strongest lineups we ever had,” said Jeff Cuellar, Bonnaroo spokesman , when speaking with Reuters. “Looking at the festival landscape out there, no other American festival has Mumford & Sons, Paul McCartney, and Bjork all under one roof.”
Being known as one of the best musical events in the country, tickets for Bonnaroo always sell out shortly after being open to the public!
