K-Pop Stars MYNAME Finish First Solo Korean Concert

You might know them better by their nickname “Hwanhee’s Boys,” thanks to singer Hwanhee from the group Fly to the Sky. But the pop group MYNAME is definitely carving out their own name, and soon people will forget all about “when they were discovered,” and will just focus on the success this band is enjoying right now. Because just two days ago, MYNAME completed their first solo concert in Korea, and it was the first of many more to come.

It may have been their first concert, but the Korean boy band MYNAME is certainly no stranger to the scene. They actually formed over a year and a half ago, and they’ve gathered quite the following since that time. That was apparent at their very first concert held at Interpark Art Center in Seoul on March 3, when more than 5,000 fans showed up to watch them perform. And what a performance they were treated to!

MYNAME kicked off the show with their huge hit, and latest single, “Just that Little Thing,” and then moved into some high-octane dances with songs such as “Message,” “Astonished,” and “Everlastin Luv.” When it was time to slow things down the boys turned almost melancholy, but were still able to belt out ballads such as “Hello & Goodbye” and “Replay” flawlessly. For a special treat, they also performed a cover of the Backstreet Boys’ “I Want it That Way.”

If you attended MYNAME’s very first concert, or you just want a chance to check them out for the very first time, they’ll be touring around Japan in May, hitting major cities such as Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya.
